Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high

Paragliding. Ho-lee sh*t what a great time that was.

We started getting nervous on the ride to the mountain, and then we decided we couldn't talk about it anymore. After we met our pilots at the base, they told us the only way up was to hike/climb. Wait, what? We didn't know physical fitness was involved! We made it to the top, slightly sweaty and totally clear-headed. I appreciated the hike for that reason, as it really took your mind off what was about to happen.

While walking up, one of the pilots "Wayne" voiced that I would be his. He claimed it was because he's the heaviest pilot and I was the lightest passenger. But we're pretty sure it was a direct result of our dirty talk in the truck. And my involvement in that convo. Either way, once on the top, he repeated his partnership request a couple more times to the guy in charge.

There was a lot of back patting and requests mid-flight for kisses on the cheek..."photo ops," you know?

(Side note: Wayne was like a 50-60 year old bald man. Super nice, but not quite the stallion I was fascinating being attached to.)

The scariest part of take-off is standing on the edge of the mountain and then running. It all feels completely wrong to your body...and we kno how much I love running...but eventually we were in the air and on the most amazing ride ever.

The view was gorgeous...breath-taking...awesome. I have a video that I'll upload because it's hilarious. All I do is laugh and say awesome a lot. Our connection is not good here, so that might have to wait until I get home.

The whole experience was amazing. We were right over Camp's Bay and the colors of the water were so pretty!

Afterward we sunbathed on the beach at Camp's Bay. Perfection. I can't wait to stay there for five days next week!!
